Gonna get a new catback..have a few ?'s

I have Kook's 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8" Longtubes through a Kook's 3" ORY. The ORY is then welded up to the stock cat-back with a flowmaster muffler and 3" cutout. I used to run the cutout open all the time, but the rasp during normal/slow acceleration has gotten to me. The cutout sounds great at WOT but I hardly run it.

I just closed the cutout (not electric) and the flowmaster is TOO quiet. It's honestly quieter with the ORY and LT's than stock manifolds y-pipe. Anyways I want a new cat-back. I'm looking for a real DEEP but loud exhaust tone with very little rasp. Nothing that really screams, but ROARS. I've been looking into a TSP Rumbler catback...anyone heard this on an LT1 with LT's and ORY?

Re: Gonna get a new catback..have a few ?'s

I'm trying to decide what exhaust to get as well, I had a texas speed rumbler on my car when it was stock but I removed it when I put on headers and an off-road y-pipe, I'm trying to decide if I should get another one because my magnaflow is too quiet. But I've heard mixed reviews, some say to raspy, some say it sounds clean, and thats all from the ls1 crowd, I haven't really heard any feedback from the lt1 crowd in regards to that system. I was thinking about GMMG but it is just way to expensive.

Has anybody tried a loud mouth 2 on an lt1 yet? I wonder how that would sound.

Borla Roars. I have a feeling that the Rumbler will give you some rasp.

While Ed's Borla does sound good. I would suggest an SLP catback. Sounds meaner

Since I was looking into a Rumbler system, I'm curious as to why you took it off? Real raspy/obnoxious like loudmouth with ORY?

I stupidly took it off thinking it would be too loud with ory and headers, but looking back I wish I had kept it rather than get rid off it. Thats why I am thinking about buying a new one, I really liked how it sounded. I think it was louder than my magnaflow even with ory and headers. I guess I should have heard it first with ory and headers rather than just ditching it.

get some chambered mufflers and have a exhaust shop make a gmmg for you just find the picture. I have a pic of the catback. my muffler shop said they'll make the catback for like 130 if i bring them the mufflers. Mufflers are like 40-65 at sweetthunder. I'm going to do it once i get my car running right.

my personal opinion is that the GMMG can't be beat other than price, but to me its worth it. Loudmouth is far too raspy imo with headers and ory. It is absolutly obnoxious, even worse on my buddies 02 GT mustang . I do like the borla however, another friend of mine runs Pacesetter LT's/ORY through his borla and it sounds pretty good.

Ok just so people stop saying the same thing over and over, the TSP Rumbler is basically an SLP Loudmouth with better looking tips and a "Dynomouth" setup - less loud, a lot less raspy.

One of my friends has one and it sounds mean, he has it hooked up to LTs/ORP and it sounds very deep and clean, that's on an LT1 - LS1s tend to all sound pretty raspy above 5000.
