going to do head gaskets

I am about to do my head gaskets and need to know what are the best gaskets avialble or should i use stock gasket set, i dont beat on my car or anything like that. also how hard is this procedure on the lt1? thanks.

also how bad is it to do only one head gasket and not the other...i was ADVISED to do only the blown gasket. (Which is the passenger side)

Would be easier to just do the one, but while you have everything off it would only take about an hour more to do both.

Felpros are probebly as good as any, and you will probebly want stock thickness.

Any auto parts store can hook you up.

I used fel-pro 1074 gaskets thru summit. I think I paid about 60 for the pair. Are you going to have the heads milled? Check them to make sure they are not warped, otherwise you may be doing it again. It wouldn't hurt to have a machine shop look at them for what little they should charge.

finding a good machine shop that does car parts isnt going to well for me in brooklyn ny , does anyone know of a machine shop in brooklyn or the surrounding area?
