GMMG with or without cats.
Re: GMMG with or without cats.
I can't speak for the God of catbacks, but I know I have the worst rasp combo. 80 series flowmaster with no cat. My rasp all but went away when I switched to long tubes. If emissions are not a problem, I say go without cats. I like a little rasp in mine, just that the old setup was horrible.
Re: GMMG with or without cats.
I'm getting one soon, and I will be running it with my Mac headers and ory, if it's to loud or annoying I was thinking about switching to kooks long tubes with a catted-y pipe, when I do my hotcam.
Re: GMMG with or without cats.
I have heard different things about it, some people say without cats and stock manifolds it is really raspy and horrible. Others with longtubes and no cats say it sounds just sick. There is a guy around town with no cats and it sounds like ***, i just hope when i do my longtubes with no cats it will sound good.( i have gmmg on my car) If not then i will just have a custom y pipe with cats made.
Re: GMMG with or without cats.
If you have LT's you'll want the cats. I just put the GMMG on my 396 this past wkend and it sounds really deep w/ the cats. Only problem is I'm melting the cats so I'm running OR pipes on my FLP's. Sounds a little hollow but the rasp is mild and bearable for now.
