gmmg 2 1/2' tips?

gmmg 2 1/2' tips?
I dont want to fork out the extra 150 for the gmmg tips, but i would imagine its going to look ugly as hell with the 2 1/2" tips, does anybody have pics of these and am i right? I know there are pics of them on www.gmmginc.net but I would like to be able to see them from different angles... most people wont be laying behind my car, not unless i just ran them over

that and... are you supposed to weld the cats in right in front of this setup? I read a discussion on this awhile ago but it wasnt too clear, does this bolt right up?
how come if i go to an auto parts store i can find high flow cats for 40 dollars and every performance shop says 2 to 3 hundred? what is the difference
