GM lifters

Can anyone explain why the GM roller lifter kit from SDPC is only $225 when it includes the retainers, guides and bolts but when buying only 8 lifters alone from GM parts direct they are $238. Did the price go up drastically recently?

I'm pretty set on ordering a Golen short block and don't want to throw my lifters with 90k on them in there so i figured i'd buy some new stock ones. Any where else I can buy them from without the retainers and stuff for cheaper?

Try Dal Slagbough at Vandevere Olds. He is a great guy and usually is the cheapest on GM parts. I get all my GM parts for my Impala from him. Here is his number: 1-877-448-5451. He usually starts answering calls at 7:30 am to 3:30 pm EST.

Might see if Comp or Cranes basic lifters are cheaper as they would be the same. Dal is a very good guy to deal with too though.
