GM 847 What kind of Vacuum?

I have a 97 TA in the shop right now that is a 355 with LE3 heads and a gm 847 cam. I'm showing 10 inches of vacuum at idle. Curious as to what everybody else with similair setups are showing for vacuum at idle.

Thanks!

Mike

I had 19" with my 211 cam and I think my 847 had 15". As long as the gauge snaps to zero at WOT and snaps to a vacuum reading when decelerating or when your foot's off the accelerator you should be fine.

That makes perfect sense to me too, but it still seems wrong.

I had about 12" too. If you're reading 17" then you have a defective vacuum guage.
