GM 847 Degree Questions

I am installing the GM 847 cam and have never degreed a cam before. I purchased a Comp Cams degree kit and am following the instrutions included with it. I degreed the cam with the heads on the car using the intake centerline method and measured 106 degrees. I have looked at the cam card and don't understand how I relate my degre measurement to the specs on the cam card. I would appreciate any help anyone can provide.

Thanks,

Loren

Hey Man did you ever get that cam degree'd? Just wondering if it is any different that installing "straight up" I might have to give you a call sometime on that to see how its done. Did you and the rest of the guys go out to Memorial last night? I was sick to my stomach last night! No fun!

Yup, degreed the cam. Fortunately, it was right on and didn't require any bushings. I am happy to help you out when you are ready to do yours. Yup, went to memorial and it was a no-loss evening
