Getting new Cat and catback. ?'s 'bout my headers.
Have no cat now, and need to get one by next inspection. Figured I'd get rid of my old Flowmaster and try a Hooker. I have SLP shorty headers on now, but I don't know enough to tell if I have a stock Y pipe. I'm pretty sure I do. Questions are=
1. I just want a stock cat, what size? Is the stock Y pipe 2 1/2, 2 3/4, or 3". And what would the part # be for a new stock cat?
2. If put a stock cat on, what's the size of the exit nub-2 1/2, 2 3$, or 3". So I'm sure I order the correct size catback.
I would like to buy all the stuff (cat and catback) so I don't have to pay for a markup at the shop. As you can tell, I don't know exactly what I need for a new cat and catback, so all you guys can give me is very appreciated. As it stands, I need everything from my Y pipe back.
Thanks alot.

The stock cat is 3" in and 3" out. As far as the part # goes: pick up your phoine book, look up your local chevy dealership, call them, ask for the parts dept., and tell them what you want. That should cover you, good luck!
