Angry Getting fuel lines off!!!!

I posted this a month ago. I have actually cut the fuel line off on the fuel rails hookups (I bought an entire replacement unit from the FS section). Now, I able to look down and see thehooks which keep the fuel line in. No matter I do it won't come out. The fuel disconnect tool is the right size and no matter how much I struggle it won't come off.

Any advice????? I need help fast!!!!!

That's crazy.

Dremel or hacksaw the fitting off without harming the rail?

I got a replacement rail. The old one is FUBAR. It almost looks like the fuel disconnect tool should be a little bigger to work but the next size up won't even fit in.

The pressure line is 3/8 and the return line 5/16. Here is what I used.

I noticed when I tried to take the fuel lines off of my car if I pulled straight out it wouldnt work but when I twisted the line back and forth (clockwise then counter-clockwise) it came right off. Give that a try and see what happens.

As stated above justing pulling straight back on the disconnect toll would not work for me either. I kind of pushed the fuel lines together, worked the disconnect tool in, and then pulled apart. Even at that I had to work at it for a while.

****ing A! It's off. I got a different brand fuel line disconnect tool and after about 5 minutes of messing with it it came off!

Tomorrow I will officially start my boycott of the other brand one. YESSS!!!!

BTW, the ones I got today look like the ones you showed me shoebox. The others were multi-colored.

The brand I used was Lisle and part number is 37000. The one that DID NOT work was by Powerbuilt.

I have a set of the Lisle ones and they have never failed me. Sometimes you have to push in the release tool then push the lines together and then pull them apart. The fits are pretty tight.
