gettin tranny rebuilt...wut kit should i throw in?
im gettin my tranny rebuilt, so i decided to get a shift kit for it...but i have no clue which is the best??? and i noticed most of them have an option on how hard should make the shifts be...so please specify which model and stage...thanx for all your help, im pretty much in a world of confusion when it comes to this area...
Automatic transmissions are magic to me, "Hey, that was cool. I wonder how he did that."
I have been using Trans Go with good success. I like the way it shifts, on my last tranny it was set on kill so my 1 2 shift it would rip the tires and I lost some time doin that, but it sure was cool.
My new tranny has the Trans Go in it but not so aggressive on the shift this time so I might actually be able to win some races.
I think for the 4L60E the Trans Go is your best bet.
Stage 2 would probably be best, nice crisp shift without the snap your neck, get sideways, watch someones tail lights as they beat you, Stage 3.

If you use one of my "modified" Trans-Go Performance Shift kits, you will get smooth part throttle shifts, and the shifts getting progressively firmer with more throttle opening. Yes, you will lose ET if you make the transmission shift too hard on the 1-2 shift, besides the wear & tear on the driveline.
