i am sorry to ask but i am trying to find out the the carrier.
on a 97 z28 with a 6/spd i think i have 3.42 gears
but dont now the carrier is and who has 3.73in stock
it seems that thay are all on back order thanks for your help.

 

Not sure what you are asking for sure. But anything with 3:23 and lower (numerically higher) is going to be a 3 series carrier. So the 2 series carrier only came in F-bods with 2:73 gears.

Since you have a 3:42 rear you will have a 3 series carrier.

There are no stock f-bods with 3:73 gears although some idiot at the track swore his came with them from the factory....

I MAY have some for sale new Strange 3:73 with a Motive master install kit and solid pinion bearing. I was told the tranny I bought is a 95 but my speedo seems correct and the only way that is possible is with an 93 M29 tranny in which case I'll leave my rear alone

 

Take a look at Drivetrain.com. They were the only place I could find that had Motive 3.73's in stock. The order came to $222 with shipping, but I was just glad that I could get a set of decent 3.73's.
