Would a 3.73 Gearing fit a 97 Z28?

 

You can put any gear ratio in the rear axle on your Z28, as long as its for a 7.5/7.625" 10-bolt. Then you need to make sure you have a 3-series "carrier".... If your car came with 2.73 gears, you don't, and you either need to pick up a new carier, or get a 3.73 gear set that is specifically made for a 2-series carrier.

Then of course, you need to program your PCM for the new gear ratio.
