Gauge lights blowing when I put car in gear...

My IP dimmer fuse keeps blowing when the head or parking lights are on and I go to put the car into gear (its a 6spd). Any ideas? If the cars' in nuetral, the fuse holds.

check the wires for the shift/gear indicator light(in the center console), the shifter is probably pinching them in gear
