So about a year ago I hit some pothole and dented my oil pan pretty bad, also my exhaust got bent a tad. So I have a little exhaust leak. I replaced the oil pan since then and the exhaust was adjusted a bit. Lately Ive been noticing the exhaust leak is more porminent these days. I took it to the shop today. My mechanic said he tightend the bolts by the header (thats where teh leak is coming from). He said the gasket might be bad. May have to replace that.

My question is, is driving around with a bad gasket going to cause damage or its just for noise?

 

Won't cause damage to engine, etc... Just replace the gasket, they're a couple $$$
