Mindgame, that was a very informative and helpful post. Thank you.

Also, thanks to everyone else who replied. I appreciated the comments.

Mindgame posted a quote regarding insufficient gap.

Re: Gap in spark plugs?

I spent hours reading all the posts on spark plug gap about a year ago
and finally decided to go with NGK TR5s gapped at .043". You ask why
TR5s, it's because they come gapped smaller which requres less bending
to achieve .043". TR55s are gapped at .050 to .055". Same plug, just
different gaps. It seems to be working for me with the Accel 300 and
my baby cam.

Re: Gap in spark plugs?

My Chilton's Manual says that factory gap is at .035 for the 5.7L engine. I'm massively confused now on what to do with my TR55's.

Weird, I work at an auto parts and on the computer the gaps is suppose to be set at .050 (or in that area).

Re: Gap in spark plugs?

Well I'm more inclined to follow the gap setting that you guys would recommend for my engine. For a stock engine the gap should be at around or at .050 right???
