GAGS skip shift?
I installed a new clutch kit in my car yesterday and when I test drove it I noticed that the skip shift light did not come on and it did not try to go into 4th at a 2000 rpm shift. Did I not reconect something or what? Not that I miss the damn thing, but if I didn't hook something up right I figured I would fix it.

ok, I will check that.
But would it cause any problems to leave it disconnected? I hate the skip shift function and I am not buying a GAGS eliminator since I plan on getting a tune pretty soon and they can just shut it off then.

just get a resister EDIT:1/2 watt 2.2K ohm . you cna get a pack of them at radio shack for a buck
and plug that into the connector. this will disable the seliniod and not set an ses light. the skip shift lite will still come on though

Did the dash light for it come on? Doesn't matter if it's plugged in or not, the skip shift light on the dash will illuminate when the PCM is trying to engage CAGS.
The coolant temp needs to be over 170* F, you need to be at less than 35% throttle, and several other requirements need to be met before CAGS is commanded.

it was at less than 35% trottle but it had not warmed up good yet so no it was not above 170 degrees
the light did not come on when I started the car either, ussually it lights up when you turn the key on right?
