G -tech my car today

Got a g-tech of ebay and tried it out today. I only got to run it once and it a 1/8 only cause of some traffic tell me what you think.

0-60 = 5.67
60 ft = 2.44
1/8 = 9.3
MPH = 78

Does these times and numbers sound right. How acurate are these g-tech it is the SS model. Also it dynoed 175 HP and 173 torque i know that aint right but i think it was low cause i didnt run a full 1/4, these runs were with the mods in my sig and off the bottle i did not even do a burn out it was just a quckie off the pkwy. When i get a chance to play with it more i will update you guys.

I have one but I have not had the chance to play with it much. I did pull a 4.8 second 0-60 FWIW.

My girlfriend bought me one a few years ago for my birthday. I dont know how accurate it is compaired to real track times, but it is consistant. I can tell you that much because if I do back to back runs in the same weather with the same launch they are almost always within a tenth of each other. It does give you some idea, say if you are tuning either your engine of suspension, that what you are doing is either helping or hurting you. I like it because the nearest track is to far away so I cant go to any test and tune nights to play with my setup. It really can be a nice tool to have.

they are accurate if you get the weight of the car dead on - had on - paid $75 on craigslist - sold it 1 month later for 85 to someone who wanted it for a honda

mine never did work correctly on the rpm when i went above 6000 for some reason

I remember a few years back I read a HOT ROD or some other magazine and they tested the most recent one out at the time and it was very accurate. It was within a few .01's each time and it was never off by more than a .1. I have been wanting to get one but I really can't justify the price for what its worth.

They are not consistant with track times. They don't average the last X amount of feet at the end of a 1/4 mile like a the track. The trap speeds read high on them.

Also, you can set the roll-out, but never know if it is accurate.

I've sworn them off.
