Question Funny smell

Ok, first things first... i own a 1997 Camaro Z28, 48K miles on it, manual, all the goodies. When i close the windows and turn off the air a smell starts to develope and gets pretty noticable. It smells like coolent, yet my car doesn't run hot at all, it runs just as it should. If anyone could be so kind and offer any ideas on why it would be making this smell i would be very gracious.

Thankyou,
Dave T.

I would look at the water pump. There is a weep hole in the back that is visible from underneath. It will start to drip as the pump nears failure. The hole is small, about the size of a dull pencil tip. If coolant is leaking from there, it will have residue around it.

Also check the obvious places around the radiator and heater hoses, as well as the radiator cap.
