Funny Idle Problem.

I have been having a weird Idle problem with my car. It runs fine when I go wot though; no missing. The funny part is it does not do it all the time. Some times it runs fine and almost has no cam lope. But most of the time when I start it the idle is low, the cam lopes a lot, and it smells more than it does when it seems to be idling good. I have no idea what it could be it idles fine sometimes but most of the time the idle is low and it has a stronger unburnt gas smell. But it does not seem to be messing with the car at wot; it does not matter how it is idling, if I go wot it runs fine. Any ideas?

to be honest i have no clue. My car ran like crap exept for wot when my o2's took a crap. Good thing i had a friend that worked at a local parts store that took them for me and i gave him 20 bux for the fronts. I didnt even think about unplugging them since my car hasnt been stock since the day i bought it. i didnt wana risk messing up my motor or anything since it was running so rich. I was more afraid of the piston rings getting washed out so i just parked it till i got the new o2's.
