Fully functional motor now, and dyno graph...
Got the bugs sorted out w/ the new XE grind cam.. New valvesprings, Comp "R" lifters, and installed the GSS340 in-tank fuel pump... Was hoping for a little more HP, but I'm happy w/ the torque available and overall broad powerband.
Big thanks go out to the guys at Combination Motorsports for putting up w/ my phone calls, name Seth, Sam and Dave (who really isn't 12!)... Also thanks to Jordon for spending some time on the dyno w/ me to tweak the PCM last w/e. These numbers may go up a little more once I put a cold air induction on it of some sort.. I'm currently running the stock induction w/ a cone filter where the panel filter should go. So we did the tuning through an open MAF.
Luckily I have my nitrous kit close by

A good dyno tune runs $500..... well, at least that's what Jordon charges for it. He's a good friend of mine so I got a good deal on it though
.
I'm running the Comp "XE" grind... 230/236 .598/.608 w/ 1/6's - on a 110lsa.
The heads started out as a school project for a School of Automotive Machinists student in Houston. <- They had the first really really fast LS1, and are still pretty quick w/ it. Over the last winter I cleaned the intake ports up some. Not really sure on what they flow or anything like that. I'm just really happy they seem to be working.
I have plans on getting them fully hogged out by Combination Motorsports this winter, along w/ a solid roller swap. Or, I may just bite the bullet and buy some nice AFR's w/ a direct port plumbed LT4 intake...
Got some 1/8 mile numbers w/ this cam too. Only the temp outside was about 95* and DA was up around 2800ft. Ran a 7.96@89mph on a 1.83 60' . Not too terrible for a 3670# car, but it's a good start. Cooler weather along w/ a better 60' oughtta get me the 7.5's I'm hoping for.

Hey Shawn, glad you got it worked out. Did you narrow it down (f.p., lifters, rev kit) giving you problems?
Looking at your graphs I see "leaner is meaner" for your pulls. Mine was pretty rich comparred to yours. I've been waiting for some better air (and cheaper gas prices) to go by the shop again, I tweaked my program a little and have a new cat-back. Nice pulls and track times.

i just got my car on the dyno and made almost the same graph as you. 1st run was 330 - off the charts rich. couldnt get lt1 edit to save anything so we couldnt really tune it. we adjusted the Fuel pressure reg down to 40psi from 50 and picked up 24 hp then we put it down to 30 and picked up another 26 hp. pulled the vac line to fpr so at idle its 30psi and WOT it shoots up to about 40 last run was 380rwhp and 366rwtq. im pretty happy i was shooting for 400+ but if they get lt1 edit working, i have to change my 2.5" POS ypipe to a 3" mandrial y i think theres 20+ more hp in it. my A/F ratio was something like 11.5/1 at its best with some knock too. so get that up to 12.5/1 and ill be 400+rwhp

I don't understand why people pay this much for just the tuning. Unless this includes 4 hours of dyno time.
