fuel rail removal

im in the middle of swapping my SVO injectors in and the rails are unbolted and the vac line removed from the FPR. They have play but wont move, I assume its the o rings seated in there pretty good, well i tried prying with a screwdriver at the crossover pipe and all it did was put a slight grove in my cross over pipe, there is no damage just started denting the pipe a lil bit will this be ok, either way the injectors are still seated and wont come out, I need help.

Re: fuel rail removal

If you removed the 4 top bolts, it should come out. You will still need to pry it out, but try to do it on the rail instead, not on the tube. (still do it through the front crossover tube channel though)

Make sure to put a little oil on the o-rings before you put them back in. (also inspect and replace if necessary)

Re: fuel rail removal

yep thanks I got em in, car runs great, it even fixed my hard start problem, man those old injectors looked like hell!!! Well the car runs smooth and im enjoying the results so far, only took it on one test run, but im already happy cause the hard start seems to have vanished after letting it sit after the initial start up which did have a hard start of course but after letting it sit for a hour or so it started right up waaay better than ever before, like it was brand new again. Thanks for the help and tune Ion.
