I got a fuel leak at the back of the car that appears after about 15minutes of run time. It looks like it is coming from a plastic device next to where the fuel lines connect from hard to rubber.

What is this part and do they typically 'wear' out, is it the pressure relief valve for the tank? why would it be sucking up and then spitting out the fuel? the tank is no where near full.

Might be why this car never got better than 17MPG, it was dumping it all out behind me....
