Fuel Injectors

Ford 30lb injectors are red... right?
What lb/hr does orange signify?
Any ideas?

Please note that they are all orange, not just orange topped.
They look like this: http://www.htownracing.com/forums_up...1098172211.jpg

Thanks!

Re: Fuel Injectors

Ford SVO 30s have a brownish-red top and painted black body.

BUT, identifying injectors just by their color is a bad idea. A while ago I bought some "24# SVOs" which had a blue top, but they were really 19 or 21 (can't remember exactly) injectors. Best way to determine is by looking at the numbers on them. If you can get it, then post it here and I should be able to look it up for you.

Re: Fuel Injectors

That doesn't sound like a typical Ford/Bosch number.

Bosch numbers are usually 10 digit long and start with a 0.

Ford numbers usually have letters in them. (for example orange ford injectors which are 19lb/hr are F78E)

Re: Fuel Injectors

That number is one one side, the space is there cuz theres a hole in the injector there.

I also have a set of Ford Bluetops, they flow 36#/hr. Judging injectors by color isn't very helpful, I agree!

Re: Fuel Injectors

Like I said, that isn't a valid part number.... but if you go by the color, they are 19 lb/hr.

I also have a set of FMS 36#rs but they are a very Dark Blue not the typical 24# light blue color. M/9593/D302 is the P/N on the box I have

Re: Fuel Injectors

Hahahaha, I was right... they aren't 30lb's... They're 70lb alcohol injectors. He sent me the wrong ones.

Re: Fuel Injectors

He sent the "correct" ones now.
They've got a metal body and a red top. They have the number "E9SE-B18" on them. Are these, in fact, Ford 30lb Injectors?

Thanks!

Re: Fuel Injectors

I have no idea who you're dealing with, but you might want to look for a different seller for these injectors.

Correct numbers for 30# FORD SVO injectors:

On one side:
F1SE-E5A

The other side:
0280150945

Re: Fuel Injectors

Those are 31-32# injectors used in Syclones/Typhoons and some Turbo Thunderbirds.
They actually have a GM part number.

They will probably work, but they're not the typical Ford SVO 30# injectors.

Re: Fuel Injectors

Sweet! So they're better than the 30# Fords?
Thanks Ion, you're the best!
