Fuel Injector Install

This evening I put in my new 42lb injectors (to compliment the SC I just finished). Well, as i was installing them, I came to the realization that the old retainer clips did not work with the new injectors. After some examining and pondering, I convinced myself to just leave them off. They didn't really seem to have a purpose anyway, since once the injectors are in, seated and the fuel rail bolted down, they aren't going anywhere. So, that is what I did. I fired up the car and didn't see any leaks or anything.

What do you think? Am I ok?

Thanks,
Mark

You should be fine Mark, I have read that this is what quite a few others have done.
