Sorry for not being a tech question, but both of my front tires have significant wear to the point of the steal belts showing on the insides. I don’t want to replace the tires since the rest of the tire has lots of thread left. What could cause so much wear and tear on the front? Do I need an alignment?

 

i would assume that you need an allignment. and your gonna have to bite the bullet and buy some new tires. maybe if you would have caught the wear earlier they would not have had to be replaced, however, this late in the game there is nothing you can do to save them. i wouldnt even suggest riding around on those. if they blow and your cruising at a good speed, your going to have to worry about replacing more than your tires. sorry to be the guy to give you the bad news. you will have to have new tires to get an allignment.
