Smile front control arm install?

hey whats up guys, im in the middle of installing my Hal's, Eibachs, Baer brakes, and BMR front upper and lower control arms. right now i am installing the front lower conrtol arms. i am kind of confused though. i have the front of them bolted on (the one that goes sideways closest to the front of the car) and now i am about to bolt the spherical end up(the bolt goes up and down). the old control arm filled the whole space up where the bolt goes through, but with my new BMR's where the spherical end is, it doesnt fill the space up and it looks like it stays tight against the actual bolt holding it in place. is there supposed to be spacers in there or something or is this right? i just dont see how that end will stay put without moving up and down on the bolt because there is no spacers or anything. am i missing some kind of pieces or something? i dont know maybe it does go like that and i am just a fool hehe anyways any info i would appreciate all! thanks
