Friends car having problems...

Guys my friends 93Z just isn't up to snuff. It's got a catback exhaust, gutted cat, cai, ignition a few other cheapy/freebie mods and a custom tuned chip from ed wright. It's an auto and he pulled a 14.2 at 97 (it was humid as hell though) and his best is a 13.98 at 99.6mph. For those mods I would think he would be doing much better. His 60's are 1.9x to 2.0 so its not bad. We've changed just about everything we've been able to think of to change on the car...suggestions?

No headers. We've done fuel filter change, plug/wires new opti all kinds of stuff. Still doesn't seem to run right.

Some data logging would be beneficial. You might be getting knock retard or something that is affecting performance. It will at least tell you if things seem right or not so you can focus your efforts in the right direction.
