Fried + bat. wire to alt.,, shoebox part #?
ive been having a lot of problems lately with my electrical. i have a new alternator , battery and voltage is still low. when it dropped severely today i popped the hood and noticed the positive battery wire that connects to the alternator is burnt up . what would cause this? (besides too much current) also shoebox do u have a part number on that wire? . or can i just buy it at autozone? thanks
how does this wire come out by the terminal? can u just pull on it? also since im running a 800 watt amp & 1 farad cap. with 6 gauge wire,, should i up the guage on that wire from the alt to the battery?

The wire that goes to the alt is part of the positive cable assembly that also goes to the starter and to the red distribution block on the RH shock tower.
