Cool Fresh Z-28 Canvas

I recently jumped off the 5.0 Pony boat to join the Bowtie Power Boat. My new ride is a low mile 95 Z-28/ 6 spd. I'm looking for suggestions to get to 325 (reliable) HP from bone stock. What upgrade combos will get me to my goal? Considering- opening the cat., free flow exhaust, high flow intake, pulley, Headers, Chip

WELCOME TO THE BOARD!

your one of those smart guys eh? Good switch!

Anyways, do u have to pass emmsions?

first mods IMO that are musts are a catback and cold air.
Then you can go a few different routes, but headers seem to be done sooner or later, so mind as well yea know? LT'S if no emmisions and shorties if emmisions seem to be the norm...

U will get a lot of diff opnions like: cut-out, ORP, Suspension, gears, cam, heads etc...

Dont bother with the pelleys or chip.325 at the wheels or flywheel? Fist get a CAI.SLP is good.A good catback,Depends how loud you want.Check out SLP's site. www.slponline.com.Headers depends on emission needs.FLP's if you get the sniffer Hookers if not. Then a cam.The hotcam shoud get you past 325@ the road with the above.Do some research anenjoy your ride.aLSO WELCOME TO THE SITE.

oh yea,

screw the chip...get a pcm tune from pcmforless.com (cheaper and BETTER)

and pullies are a VERY contriversal topic. many say screw it b/c its not worth it, and i agree with that. but some people like it and would willl recommend it...

You cant do a CHIP in 94 up F-bodys. They have EEPROM which is a flashable chip thats soldered into the board. Only 93's have a removable chip. Anything else you have to get a programmer, HPP III or a custom tune, PCMforless , ED Wright, dyno tune, ETC.
I would go with the LT4 hot cam , cai (moroso is good too), Free flowing exhaust (cutout is good for about 12 rwhp), Gutting the cat is up to you if you have emissions or not. That should bump you pretty close if not over 325 HP, Hope this helps. Welcome to the board

Thanks for the info. I've got to brush up on my acrinims (sp). We have no immision checks at insp. time (yet). I'll likely go with the ORP just in case. 2 more questions, sounds like the LT headers are a good match with a cam upgrade? And are 4:10 the way to go (rather have 1/4 mile runs than spd.)
