fresh build
fresh build
I have just finished build on "383" stroker. Car will be daily driver and see some strip time. Installed Comp Cams 292XFI. Was wondering if anyone has any input on this cam. Car has not been tuned yet, so I really don't know what to expect. I am hoping for 450-470 rwhp.
Your rwhp expectations are WAY WAY too high, might make that FWhp.
That said the XFI stuff is not delivering as well as it's repuation would suggest. It is the latest and therefore everyone assumes greatest, results are proving thaty to not be the case.
You will at least have a mailorder tune in it before running it right?

Can you get him to do a quick baseline if you bring him the pcm first? I would not drive it without a tune. If you absolutely have to move it I would unplug the MAF so that the extra cubes and the larger injectors can to some degree cancel eachother out. If the MAF is hookedup the pcm will try and fuel it as if it still has 24lbs injectors and will grossly overfuel it.
What I am suggesting is NOT good enough to drive it, just to move it.
