Fresh 383 install, few problems please help! IDLES at 2000!! also, ABS inop light
after 6 mos. of work I finally got my 383 on the road last night. obviously there are a couple problems to work out. the major one is that it's idling around 2000 rpm!!! we have set the idle screw all the way back but don't have an accurate reading for the TPS yet. everything seems to be hooked up correctly and we've check for visual vaccuum leaks. I thought i'd post first to get some opinions. maybe from the computer being modified? the second problem is an ABS inop light on the dash. don't know what the problem is there either. here's my applicable mods.
block .30 over
stroker kit
accel 30# inj.
BBK Shorties
BBK 58mm TB
6spd.
PCM programmed at PCMforless
ported and polished heads and intake
fresh gaskets
new timing set
comp cams Xtreme energy cam 07-502-8
dual springs
new lifters
SPEC stage III clutch
4.10 rear (done last year)
ram air
SLP short throw
ported polished, descreened MAF (done 2 years ago)
We did most of the work ourselves. It runs great. awesome power, no backfires or misfires or anything. heats well, but doesn't overheat. good oil pressure everything seems great, except for the high idle and the ABS inop light.
does anyone have any suggestions???
Please help!
thanks

did you do the TPS mod which allows you to turn it counterclockwise? If so, you may need to back it off some and get it closer to original. I did mine this weekend and it was up to 1500 rpm, I backed it about 1/2 from the stock position and it's back down to 950 rpm but the sluggish hole is gone too so it throttle responds instantly now. Not sure if this is the problem on your setup but thought I'd ask. Good luck
You probabally already made sure the valve breather vacxume line was hooked up on the right side. I had mine on but then took it off to do something and forgot about it and it took me a long time to figure it out. just something stupid that you could check
