gettin ready to put frezze plugs in my new block. just wanted to know the best place to get them from. Thanks

any machine shop should have them locally.....a kit with everything.

an auto parts place would have just the freeze plugs

From: Purgatory... Also known as New Jersey.
I make sure I was using brass, and seal it with Permatex hardening sealer.

did you have the block machined?? If so they should have already installed them. My shop installs them as soon as the block is done and cleaned.

Don't use silicone. Clean everything with solvent (brake cleaner and/or acetone) to thoroughly degrease it, and use Permatex hardening sealer. Silicone will not seal as long or well as the Permatex.
