just grab a butter knife and get to work. that thing comes out piece of cake. just dont cut the little sensors in the middle. use common sense.

Yeah I wouldnt recommend descreening the MAF either...the risks outweigh the benefits.

I would leave the MAF alone....Find a different mod to do or just go spend some money and do REAL mods

i dislike that resistor idea also... i have the resistor here with me, but i still have yet to use it.. the idea of "tricking the pcm" just bothers me =/... especially when it has to do with temperatuers..

I have done most of the free mods, and they help.

MAF, leave it alone doesn't help

Plug the back of the intake, with a coke can, their is a pipe that runs from the intake to the exhaust manifold. This will keep hot air from running back threw the intake

Buy a new IAT sensor and install it as close to the air filter as possiable, cut and extend the wires going to the original sensor. NOTE just leave the original sensor in its place, use silicone to hold the new sensor in it place.

Thottle body bypass, if you have a 94 you need to buy some parts a lowes, or a home repaire place, in newer than 94 just unplug the second to the top hose on the radiator and conect it to the pipe that runs alond the intake. it runs front to back along the pass side of the intake, between the valve cover and intake.

Buy a reprogramed pcm, from pcmforless.com
Its worth it. At least two cars.

Buy a cold air intake, Moroso or K&N , both are good

160 thermostat

Buy a breather from Autozone and put it on your passenger side valve cover, take the hose off that goes in its place, then buy a vacume plug 3/8 in size and plug off the throttle body, where the hose went.

REMOVE your emmisions, if you have a 94 you can pull your air pump and plug your exhaust manifolds with oil drain plugs( they are big plugs) and it wont throw any codes. NOTE leave your fuse's to the air pump IN, and leave the egr alone. If newer than 94 when you buy your reprogramming for the pcm, have brian remove your emmisions. Plug the exhaust holes regardless. And remove the pipe that goes under the motor, cut it underneith the car, it helps to remove it.

Good luck hope this helps

Ehh... No gains from that at all. It's just for emissions. But you could take off the EGR solenoid and block-off all the crap on the back of the intake. Just gets crap out of the way.
