Free mods...?

Is there any other free mods that you can do to a 96 LT1 besides the TB bypass? Or at least close to free (around 20 bucks or less) Thanks

Take the resonator tube off your intake elbow (cap it with a pert plus top), take out the EGR and AIR, possibly remove the "cone of silence" (since you have an SS). That's about all I can think of right now that would be of use to you.

Don't worry about the cone in your exhaust , that was started in 97 in the optional SLP exhaust. Also get a k&n air filter, they cost more than 20 dollars but they are worth it. My SS filter was getting dirty after app. 2500 miles. Now I just clean it instead of buying a new filter all the time.
Good luck,
Dan

I descreened my MAF and I have a K&N air filter (forgot to mension that sorry) and I know my exhaust doesn't have the cone already... but thanks

About the resonator tube... MBA and a few other places sell a plug for that but they say it's for offroad use... why? Just not too sure about the purpose of the tube in the first place either (I think it's to lower noise isn't it?)

And about the EGR and AIR.. I've heard of them but I really have no clue as to what they are/what they do/how to get rid of them.. anyone have any sort of guide or is it simple enough that just a quick explination would be enough? I'm still a novice at cars but I love to learn about them.. so you'll have to bare with all my questions.. sorry... and thanks a lot
