Fram filter and oil pressure
Fram filter and oil pressure
A while ago, I had floored my car and when I came to a stop, my oil pressure read zero. I turned the car off, started it back up, and it ran fine, but after sitting for a while, the check gauge light would come on and oil pressure would be back in the red. I changed my oil sending sensor hoping that was the problem. Since then (it has been about 8 months), my oil pressure has never gone into the red, but usually hovers right above it.
When I start my car in the morning, oil pressure is on the third line but then makes its way down below the first line. Oil pressure also does not move no matter how much gas I give it.
Is it possible that it could be the FRAM oil filter I'm using? I just changed my oil yesterday, so if I were to replace just the filter, how much oil would I lose.
I also run 10w 30 mobile 1.

Time to check if you still have your oil pickup attached to your pump. Drain the oil, and look around in the drain plug hole for it. Tap the pan hard and listen for something metal clattering. You'll know then.
Looks like you might have kicked out the pickup when you went WOT. Get it stuck back in, and tacked into place before something bad happens
