There shows a short block for 383 LT1...they use a stock crank I believe. I just bought my new block from there and got a good deal and great customer service...you could get a long block from there for 5600 and should be able to use the rest of your stuff on there...just an idea.

I've been accused of having an over-built short block and thats a good thing. I've got 11 years of street driving and 1/4 mile racing on my short block which uses a Callies crank, Oliver billet steel 5.85" rods and JE forged pistons...Little excessive for a N/A set up? Yes, but over 11 years its worth every $$...Why use stuff that will "get you by..." Do it once and do it right so that down the road if want to use a power adder you know you'll be fine...
