Flushing Coolant???

I have access to a coolant flush machine and have all the flush additives available....my question is...I think someone who worked on my car mix Dexcool and the Greenstuff cause my coolant passages are a brown slimy color...my question is if a good coolant flush would clean out the mixture and make it all alright??

thanks

Brown and slimy cause its old coolant , and in need of a change . Flushing it should do the trick if its done right . There is an air release valve on your car along the coolant lines . While you are flushing it , You will need to let some of the air out of the lines . Make sure you do this right , if not your car will overheat when you get the coolant back in .

My radiator is out of my car for repair and needless to say, the coolant is drained. I havent drained the block yet, but i will before i'm ready to put the rad back in. My question is: Is there really gonna be a big difference when doing a drain and refill (which is what i'm doing) as compared to a flush???
keepin in mind this is just regular maintenance, not because of any existing problems.
