Question Fluid Changing Question

I am going to be changing my oil, M6 fluid, and rear end fluid in the next couple weeks.

Does the all old fluid need to be warm when I drain it out?

My car has been sitting in storage 4 months and I was thinking about just changing all the fluids before I drive it again.

My other option would be to drive it around and warm everything up and then drain it.

Any comments would be appreciated.

It doesn't have to be warm, it just drains easier/faster that way. For the oil I like to buy a cheap qt and use about half of it or so to chase the old oil out with, so once the drops slow down significantly I throw about 1/2 qt down the oil fill and let that run down, and it should be pretty darn clean coming out.

Normally you would want it to be warm, so it would drain out better (especially the rear end fluid). I would say the engine oil is the only thing that you might want to go ahead and drain depending on how many miles are on it. It is probably not going to make much difference as far as mileage on the tranny or rear fluid.
IMO, you would want to change the engine oil and circulate it before storing the car, so there are less contaminants sitting in the oil for that time.

If it were mine I would start it up warm it up see that it is running fine with no problems get it up to operating temp then drop the oil.

Because you are pulling the cover on the rear diff I don't think it matters as much there.

With the tranny take it for a spin to mix/warm it up and drop it.
