Question FLowMaster..good or bad?

..i have a 1979 trans am with a carbeurated LT1 engine in it..and hooker headers..just bought new flowmaster exhaust with no cats and an H pipe..was this good for horsepower, adn will it provide a good amount of back pressure, also does anyone know if the lt1 has a break in period..we bought a 2002 ws6 and they said the ls1's had no break in period..please reply

There are better choices for exhaust than flowmaster. But it's at least better than stock. You could alway go get a new set of mufflers if you're overly concerned about the power loss .

lt1...i was asking about the breakin because i wanted only serious responses and anyone that didnt know that shouldnt be telling me about exhaust..i really want to know about the flowmasters on the lt1..its just two straight pipes from the headers right into the mufflers with an H pipe setup..and i heard flowmasters are bad for lt1's

He was Asking if the LT1's had a break in periods (its a new motor) and he was stating that he has a LS1 T/A and they said it DIDN'T have a break in period and was wundering if the LT1's did or did not.

Think thas were you might have gotten confused.

The LT1 in the 79 T/A is new..
