flowmaster on a 396

i was just wondering what everyone was running for exhaust on their 383's or 396's for exhaust? i have hooker long tubes, no cat, and flowmaster exhaust. i was wondering if it is too restictive or if i just shouldn't worry about it. It sounds good adn loud the way it is. thanks

I would leave the Flowmaster on there and just get a cut-out. Good luck.

With a cut-out, you are not having to go through the muffler (or any of the catback, for that matter), which is the biggest restriction (especially with Flowmaster). Your 396 should see very good gains from a cut-out.
