Flowmaster

Does anyone have a sound clip of an LT1 on an 80 series Flow?

I've got the 80's on my car. Unfortunately, I have no sound clips. The 80's is great though. Crossflow design made specifically for Camaro's/Firebird/Trans-Am. Best sounding Flowmaster for the F-Body in my opinion.

Thanks, I just found a clip on the flowmaster website. Check it out and let me know if it sounds anything like yours?

Thanks again,

Yeah. I don't have any cats either, and the one on that sound clip most likely does. Mine pretty much has the same sound, but with the cats off, sounds ALOT meaner. I was VERY impressed the first time I let someone else drive my car and I heard it from the outside. Sounds better than the clip..that's for sure. Interior levels are pretty loud too. Some people don't like it, but I LOVE it.

I got a 1995 convertible so it will probably be even louder. I liked the sound on the clip, if mine sounds anything like it I'll be very happy.

Thank you,

I have it on my car as well, and like AxeGrinderZ said, it is pretty damn loud, especially without the cats and w/headers. It drones a lot around 2000rpm, which is where my car usually cruises. So I can't really say I like it a lot, but it does give a mean muscle car sound.

Yeah, if you like the clip, then you'll be happy. If emissions isn't a problem, then get the cat off. You can hear it idle louder also.

pretty funny how the "1995 Pontiac Firebird 5.7L" and "1999 Pontiac Firebird 3.8L" sound clips are identical, huh?

Cmr0z28, that ride is sweet. very clean.. Same color as mine except I've got the tan convertible top. Anyway, I'd like to thank everyone for the help.

On the SLP, its too late since I just won a bid on e-bay for the Flowmaster for 40 bucks. My muffler guy has the pipes and will do the install for 50 bucks. Hope it sound nice since I won't be able to remove the cat or go back on the Flow right now.

Thanks again,
