floor board/beam in the way of pacesetter long tubes?
floor board/beam in the way of pacesetter long tubes?
About 2 inches in front of the drivers side header, theres a beam, or part of the floor board hanging down. It blocks the top of the collector by about 1/2" - 3/4".
How important is this rectanular piece of metal? Can i cut a notch out of it?
Usually the pacesetter y pipe comes notched out, but i am runnin true duals. I would just notch the pipe out, but it is in a difficult spot, with the reducer in the way.
On the last car.. as much as i hate to admit it, i pretty much dropped the car on a jack stand, and dented the cross member out of the way. I figured cutting it would give it a cleaner look. should i do it or not?

Re: floor board/beam in the way of pacesetter long tubes?
I would not cut the cross member. Could you flatten one side of the pipe to make clearance? What about the condition of your motor mounts?
Could you post a few pics?
