flashing SES in heavy rain

It's happened a couple of times: once with completely stock plugs and wires, once after changing plugs, this latest time was with brand new plugs and wires. The car always runs fine after. All three times I pulled off the road and shut the car off until the rain subsides, and don't really have any after effects. I guess I was really just wondering what the problem is. Any help would be cool.

The opti is getting wet, try not to do that. My guess is soon it won't run at all. It's not that hard to change if it does fail.

Also you may want to list the year/model/trans in your sig. It will help with diagnosing and corecting your probelms on our end.

Flashing SES means misfire. Get it scanned at autozone and see what the code is.
But yes, as already mentioned, the opti is most likely your problem.
