fitment issues with air on pacsetter lt

so i did some searching and really coulnt find a good answer

i installed my pacesetter lt's and everything seemed fine, even the egr.

now trying to get my air back in seems to be a different story. now it looks like the hoses will not fit like they used to, so it looks like im going to re-route those lines.

so basically my question is, has this happened to anyone else, and if so does anyone have pics how they modified it?

thanks in advance

mike

Re: fitment issues with air on pacsetter lt

I torqued the fittings in with a pipe wrench before the headers were in the car. Really rounded the nut off, though. Not actually recommending this, but it worked for me. I don't think I couldv'e done it with the headers attached to the car.

As far as the rubber hose is concerned, my air system is still hooked up-so I bought longer hose. The stock hose wouldn't reach.

Re: fitment issues with air on pacsetter lt

i can't find a pipe fitting that will fit. it's a 22mm fitting. nobody sells one that swaps over to the 1.25" AN.

i can find the 1/25" and i can find 22mm, but i can't find one that goes to the other....that's what's needed. right now i have a loose fitting in there just to make the connection and it's sealed with a 1.25-1.25 AN addapter...it's not fitting into the header but fits into the AIR elbow. i'm thinking of capping it off if i can't get it fixed right.
