First Time to the track this year!!!

Hey guys i was at the local dragstrip yesterday and for my first time out w/ my new modifications i netted myself a 13.40 @ 104.9 mph, with a horrible 2.19 60 ft. Can i get this time lower with a better 60 foot? Those runs were made on bald dr's. Im getting new ones this week.

Very good numbers. (except for the 60') I pulled a 1.98 on street tires at 17 PSI with my A4, so you should be able to do much better than that with DRs. Remember, each .1 you shave off your 60' is usually .15 off your ET and sub 2.0 60's are very doable.

Thats amazing.. 200k miles and running low 13s! Most people who drop .2 off thier 60s will see a .4 drop in 1/4.. that would put you close to 12s.

Hey madwolf, thanks for the tune as well. I'm sure that helped my times as well. I also beat 2 LS1's at the track, one was auto w/ full exhaust. I was sooo happy.

What are you guys pulling down for sixty foot times, with my mods. 3:73 gears, DR's full exhaust.... just curious, i want to see if i can really break the 13.1-13.0 barrier. Thanks for your replies.

I have alot of suspension mods but the best sixty foot to date on DRs is 1.89 so you can get there.
Try the MT drag radial, thats what I am putting on next. Right now I did that sixty foot on Nittos.

best I ever pulled on bfg drag radials was a 1.9 60 ft. I have pulled low 1.7's with worn out hoosier quicktime et's with close to the same setup.

Re: First Time to the track this year!!!

with stock manifolds, 2.73 gears I pulled a 1.99 60 foot on bfg drag radials with my normal 60 foot being very, very low 2.0X. This year I have pretty much the same mods as you, longtubes and 3.73's. I am probably gonna go with mickey thompson drag radials and I hope to run a 1.8 or low 1.9 60 foots. I have some weight reduction though and I think that will help me a bunch in getting out of the hole.
