Greetings to all! I've finally scraped up enough cash to purchase and install my first mod, a K&N FIPK cold air intake system. I'm not sure if I'm just deceiving myself, or if I truly did notice a real SOTP difference..but I'm pretty sure I'm not delusional. A lot of reading about mod order and whatnot leads me to believe I've just added anywhere from 10-15hp to my rear wheels.. Truth or Myth?

Anyway, my next real step is to sell my old 1996 Bonneville (which is basically trannyless) and use that money to buy a quality SLP LOUDmouth catback. Seems like it will be just what I need, since I'm not looking at going to headers or cam work. Probably just going to keep it with a couple of boltons, possibly !TB, and definitely !CAGS. I was wondering if anyone has noise complaints from their SLP loudmouth system without headers/gutted cats or any crazy stuff.. I won't be gutting my cats, and most likely won't be getting headers, unless hooker shorties come to me in my sleep. I'm in an emissions state :\

CAI is one of the best FIRST mods next to a decent catback. It's a good mod with noticeable results. Moroso claims 14rwhp...I'm conservative and tend to cut in half anything marketings claims but it woke up my car as well. What really wakes up the fbody's are longtubes ....
