Firehawk SZ50EP No longer avail?

I noticed that tirerack no longer had 275/40/17 Firehawks so I stopped by a local firestone today and I was told they've been discontinued and the only similar tire is Bridgestone's potenza or a new firestone called "fuzion". The Fuzions looked ok, but they were only 135 a piece, and thats retail, so I'm kinda questioning how good they are. It really sucks that you cant get firehawks in that size anymore.

What about the 50 series? Are those still available? I just got some last year. I wouldn't like not being able to replace just one if I had to

Ah ok.......

Wouldn't hurt to get 285/40/17s, right?

I really don't know.. Sounds cool, but I was hoping one of you guys would know if it would rub the fenderwell.

I just put a set of the 285 firehawks on my car. 9.5 inch wide ZR1 rims... no rubbing. perfect fit.

It doesn't matter that those tires were discontinued, because you should be running a different tire.

The Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 owns all other tires.

Indeed, 1.917 60' 100% stock suspension, tranny, and gears.

Wow, that is one hell of a 60 foot time for the stock setup you are running. I guarantee you drive these tires, and you won't drive on anything else. Well, unless you are tearing up the asphalt at the local track on some MT ET DRAGS.

Wow, you must've gone to the same firestone dealer as me. First, the guy didn't know that the EP's took over for the new style firehawks, then he won't stop trying to sell me the fuzion or potenza.

If you have 275's though, why are you looking for more? I really need a set and also noticed the tirerack situation. When I tried to order last summer they had me wait weeks before letting me know when I would get them so I cancelled. I might just get some for the rears and some kumho 712's or something up front.
