Finally...track times...updated 11-5-07

Before everyone chimes in to tell me how to go faster....I want to say that I took the car out just to make some shakedown passes to get an idea what it may be capable of.

It was on my heavy 18" ZO6 wheels (9.5s front, 10.5s rear) and my car is lowered 2" (w/o LCA relocation brackets, I know they would help alot) The car's suspension is basicly set up for road racing for now. I know that it'll go faster, but considering that this combo has only 130 miles on it, I think it did pretty decent for it's first time out

I'd also like to add that I'm on a mail order tune from PCMforless, a stock throttle body, and single 3" exhaust. In the near future I'll be adding a 58mm TB, 3" true duals with X-pipe, and have it dyno tuned in tulsa. I bet it picks up a few mph with all that done

Sorry for the crappy phone pics

and a quick shot of the car...

Drag radials, I went from 113-117 just switching from street tires to 17" drag radials. Too much spinning will kill your mph.

I have BFG drag radials on my 18s....295/35 18s They still spun like crazy in 1st and 2nd (sometimes in 3rd)

The track was a little slicker that usual last night though....

LOL now that's funny right there

FWIW that's a lot of cam for a 350-355, shift that SOB as high as you can.

Yeah I remember you telling me that Bret, but seeing how the motor only had 130 miles on it when I got to the track last night, I was trying to take it a little easy on it...so I was shifting @ 6500. I can tell that it wants to be twisted higher though. Yet another reason why I'm confident that this thing will eventually see 120mph traps

The cam sounds friggin wicked at idle...I've gotten several favorable comments about that. Thanks for a helluva cam, Bret

Time for a track dedicated set of wheels and some better tires then. Even some salad shooters with m/t's will net you a lot better times.

I already have some salad shooters with M/Ts on them sitting in my garage Like I said I was just trying to get a few shakedown passes out of the car last night, next time I'll be putting the M/Ts on though.

Your 60" times need big improvement. Your 1/8 miles times are not that great for the mph. What gear ratio does the rear end have?

A little more money and a rollbar will be necessary...ahhhh...nothing like having a car fast enough to have required safety equipment.
