Finally hit 12's!!!!

Well last night was finally the night. After many attempts and very close failures, I finally got my first 12 second pass. I ditched the Nitto's which gave me a very best of 13.01 with most of my passes being in the 13.1-13.3 range. Well I ditched the Nittos and got a set of M/T ET Street Radials. On the VERY FIRST try on the M/T's, I was give me first 12 second pass. Here is the run.
60ft......1.8470
1/8 ET......8.2906
1/8 MPH.....83.16
1/4 ET.......12.9664
1/4 MPH.....106.06

I can tell that the addition of the heavier 17" chrome ZR1's has slowed my trap speed down by around 1/2 of a MPH. But overall the tires have given me a SOLID .1 faster 60ft. Overall I am very happy. I made one spray pass but the spray cut off on me somewhere around the 1-2 shift mark. Here is what I ran on that pass
60ft......1.8226
1/8ET....8.1625
1/8MPH....84.71
1/4ET......12.7503
1/4MPH....108.10

Thanks for reading.

The tires are great. I went full throttle right off the line and the tires did not budge, it felt awesome. On the second run a sprayed off the line and the tires handled it very well, had a VERY small amount of wheel spin, even on a 100 shot.

im right there with ya man
they are the best radials i have owned
on the street i dont even heat em i just punch it a couple of times to make sure and then its insta hook
on motor im doin 1.7's stomping it off an idle
and on the can sprayin out of the hole 1.60's

but congrats on the times bro
its a nice mile marker to hit 11's is a bit harder and more fun too lol
but by the looks of it you should be mid 12's on motor i figure your setup with some more stall would get you there
but either way with that mild of a stall those are some respectable times

The "2400 stall" I have in my signature can be deceiving. Its nothing more then a 12" stocker that has been opened up and the internals changed. I dont feel that ive gained much from it. I am confident that if I got a good 10" with somewhere around a 3000 stall then I can easily drop another .3 in the quarter and get my 60fts down into the 1.7's. I've been looking for a good stall for a good price. I will get one eventually and it should put my numbers more in the range of where they could be. I am aiming for 12.6's after I get a good converter. For now, I am just glad I got my setup into the 12's. Also, the only suspension upgrades I have are a set of LCA's, everything else is bone stock and probably overdue for replacement. I am pretty much at full weight also. The only thing I had removed for these passes was the rear sail panels and the passenger seat. I am planning on lightening her up in the future as well. Thanks for the good words guys.

Throw a nice vig or yank in there and you have consistent 12's.

Nice work. What spray are you running?

Get some LT's and a Vigilante and you'll have a very good time at the track hitting mid to low 12's. Those M/T's are pretty sick, I just got a set and I have to say they are the best Drag Radial I've ever used.
