Just for old times' sake.....

I've been waiting the last two years to do my engine build-up. The only thing I'm waiting for now, is my 180,000 mile engine to finally stop running 12's in the 1/4 mile...

I swear I just can't justify ripping her apart right now when she runs so good...

Make sure you come back when you crank her up. Get some good audio clips... I can't wait to hear it....

Hi Dave,

Thanks. Do you know what their name is on Ebay?
I'm getting ready to buy one of these kits but it looks like yours is a different company than the two I have been watching on ebay.

Yep, they go by "alloyboltz"

I don't see any for sale on there right now though:

What ever happened with the situation of the machine shop that destroyed your Scat 9000?

I was wondering about this as well. If you sprayed it yellow I think it could have passed for some nice swiss cheese.

Very nice Dave!

BTW, perfect time to put some better shocks/springs on there...

Are those LS1 brakes?

Sweet work, Dave!

Longets rebuild in history about sums it up. I thought I'd have 10k miles on mine before you ever got that thing running.

Looks great, the intake and stuff are so nice it makes your alt. and brcken look bad!!!

How high did you have to get it to put the motor in from below, is there a guide you used, or could you describe your procedure?

It was almost balanced right. We had to take a little more out of it and blend the holes.

I couldn't believe how much was taken out of that thing, but then again I zero balance the flywheel and then the crank so we take much less out of the crank.

Re: Finally got some pics up of the 383 Stroker! Beautiful!

Funds are totally depleted...no time to do shocks and springs! I'm about SICK AND TIRED of this project and moving it around and **** from place to place. I just want to get the thing RUNNING! Eventually though I will. Brakes are stock LT1 brakes.

I DID score some sweet wheels though! American Racing 200S or S200 whatever they are...17x11 rear and 17x9.5 fronts, used, but no damage, except to a little on one lip which will easily "buff out"...$500! Can't beat that!

I just put the rear wheels on top of an old set of wheels, and then jacked up the front on each side a couple inches at a time.

Some people use a strut tower brace and cherry picker, but I don't understand how you can lower it onto the k-member with the strut tower brace attached, because a couple bolts have to poke out...unless you just use that to lift it, and lower it down onto jackstands, and jack it the rest of the way down?

Yeah my alt & bracket are TERRIBLE, but that will be fixed some week I'm bored

I can't wait til youre driving it around. The grim will take a week to wipe off your face...lol

Thats an excellent Idea, I think my next time with the engine out I'll do that.
